Power Recruitment & Consulting sources and places high-calibre professionals across construction, civil infrastructure, and anywhere else serious talent is needed. Led by Maddi Carroll, we do recruitment differently: relationship-first, values-led, and people-centric. We recruit for key roles in design and estimating, management, site crews, finance, HR, and marketing, hand-selecting candidates who take a project from “idea” to “done”.
And no, we don’t ghost people. We set a timeframe and stick to it. We talk straight, we follow through, and we keep everyone in the loop. If you’ve dealt with recruiters who vanish after one chat, our process will feel refreshingly human.
Our process is simple, direct, and open. Come prepared with smart questions. We like curiosity. If you’re in a site-based role, show us photos of what you’ve built. Have three referees ready to go, and keep your resume sharp (we read them properly).

We’re deeply involved in the onboarding process, providing onboarding toolkits and retention advice as well as arranging ongoing check-ins with both our clients and candidates (you aren’t getting rid of us that easily).
We track progress and step in to support the monthly performance check-ins, ensuring success beyond the offer and hiring contract.
Behind the scenes, a lot more happens than most people realise. Every candidate goes through rigorous background and ID checks, and we speak with multiple referees before anyone even reaches your shortlist.
For candidates relocating, we go the extra mile (literally), offering guidance on schools and local areas, and even attending open homes on their behalf. Our approach is comprehensive but never rigid, fully customisable to suit your business needs. 1. Briefing & Discovery
We start by understanding you. We’ll go through the role, ask the right questions, and get a sense of your experience, strengths, and what type of culture you thrive in. We’ll give you insights into the market, realistic salary expectations, and the path to success in the role. You’ll know exactly what the client is looking for before anything is finalised.
2. Search & Vetting
We do the heavy lifting. Before you even meet the client, we’ll interview, check references, verify your background, and understand your motivations and goals. We present you with opportunities that actually fit — no generic submissions.
3. Interview Coordination & Feedback
We handle the logistics so you can focus on performing. Scheduling, reminders, and feedback are all communicated clearly and on-time. If something isn’t aligning, we address it and pivot quickly. You’ll never feel like you’re left in the dark.
4. Offer & Negotiation
When the client wants you on board, we guide the process from start to finish. Salary, start dates, onboarding details — we negotiate to make the transition smooth, so you can step into the role with confidence.
5. Onboarding & Beyond
Our support doesn’t stop when you’ve signed the contract. We help with inductions, paperwork, uniforms, and anything else you need to hit the ground running. We check in weekly for the first month, then fortnightly or monthly for up to three months (and sometimes longer) to make sure everything is working. We stick with you.
